MORE ABOUT: Dhansara

Dhansara is a 24-yr. old mother of two daughters. She is currently in her 1st trimester, and experiencing morning sickness and some anxiety. While she has not felt the baby move yet, she has names picked out already. If it is a boy, he will be named "Rajan", or "Krishna", meaning king or god. If it is a girl, then "Pooja" or "Satya", meaning worship or truth. She would like her child to be a teacher. Her advice to new mothers is to avoid heavy work in this stage of life, and to give birth at a hospital. Dhansara herself will travel via ambulance or jeep to Bayalpata Hospital. She thanks her donors for all their wonderful help.

UPDATES

We are very happy to announce that on November 2nd, Dhansara gave birth to a healthy baby boy, named Rohit Saud. Though she was unable to get to the hospital and instead gave birth at a sub-health post closer to her home, the delivery was a safe and uncomplicated one, which Dhansara says was a great experience. In addition to the standard prenatal check-ups and dietary supplements she received from Bayalpata Hospital's antenatal care clinic, she also followed up to get the necessary vaccinations for her newborn. Dhansara says that she is excited to have another baby sometime in the future and grow her family, but in the meantime, wishes to thank all of her supporters for ensuring her and her baby's safety and good health.
